Vancity Vice
Truce

You, a rhyme i’d try to write over and over again

Open ended run on sentences that were too bland

Miswritten metaphors

Silly ass similes

Battered down soliloquies

What you mean to me

Like a valve to a facet

You opened me up

A realist in every aspect

Got me fallin’ for ya is that too blunt?

The things that i’d do for ya

The things that i’d do to ya

Maybe a bit too soft

Maybe a bit too nasty

And for the sake of chivalry, I shall cut bein rude

I need ya by my shoulder and not with another dude

If a relationship is built on respect and understanding

Understand that i respect that you love holding hands and

Going out of your way, just to see me or spend time

Of the day, Hey

It was never bout the nickels or dimes

I have more fun with ya

Then having more funds without ya

I love kicking it, lounging, and learnin’ alot more about ya

I know you’re feeling the same way

Spotted letters you’ve written for me, hey

I’ve sought you, caught you, and don’t want to let go

I’m never lettin this just be another episode

I’m gonna run a whole series (yenno? Til i’m Lost)

Your my achilles, my kryptonite, my weak spot

Yet you don’t shoot when you know you got a clear shot

Your weapons fully loaded with beauty and truth

Our hearts were once warring I believe they called a truce

Judge not on my words alone, but on actions i’ll follow through

Allow me to cut this short, i’ve been longing for you
